Book Club
Welcome to the inaugural School of Song book club! Our first book will be Mood Machine: The Rise of Spotify and the Costs of the Perfect Playlist by Liz Pelly. We are thrilled to announce that in celebration of our first book club, author Liz Pelly will be joining us for a live Q&A.
- Online events for this book club will be held on zoom on the following dates:
- Monday, March 24th, 11a and/or 5p PT - Group Discussion & Breakout Rooms (you're welcome to attend one or both sessions)
- Thursday, March 27th, 5p PT - Q&A with Liz Pelly
Here's what you can do now:
- Get a copy of the book (see coupon code below)
- Join the book club discord channels (see instructions below)
- Post in the #introductions channel
- As you're reading, feel free to post notable quotes in the #book-quotes channel, and any questions for Liz in the #q-and-a channel.

How to Join Discord
If you haven't for previous classes, create an account on our Discord server. This is where you’ll be will be able to communicate with your fellow classmates. You can access the server via Discord's iOS, Android, Desktop or web apps. Note: if you try to join the discord server and it says the link has expired, try using a different device or browser. The link never expires.
