In Mapping the Fretboard: Part 1, you’ll learn the 5 pentatonic scale shapes, triad inversions, and voice leading. If you know open position chords, bar chords, and a little music theory, this class is perfect for you.

 

Topics Covered Include:

  • Octave shapes

  • Major and minor pentatonic scales

  • Relative minor / relative major relationship

  • Thorough breakdown of 5 pentatonic scale shapes

  • Major triads inversions

  • Minor triad inversions

  • Identifying scale degrees and transposing melodies

  • Triadic voice leading
